1. Open the fire hydrant box.
2. Extend the water belt.
3. Turn on the stop valve.
How to use dry powder fire extinguisher
1. Pull the safety pin away.
2. Point the leather tube towards the fire.
3. Press down the handle firmly, choose the upwind position to be close to the fire point, and shoot the dry powder into the flame base.
4. After extinguishing, cool with water to remove smoke.
Fire type and choice of fire extinguisher
Fires are divided into five categories, and corresponding fire extinguishing equipment should be used.
The first category refers to fires where solid combustibles containing carbon, such as wood, cotton wool, hemp, paper, etc. burn. Available water type fire extinguisher, foam fire extinguisher, dry powder fire extinguisher, halogenated alkane fire extinguisher;
Class II nails, Class B, Class C liquids, such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, methanol, etc., can be used for dry powder fire extinguishers, foam fire extinguishers, and halogenated alkane fire extinguishers;
The third category refers to combustible gases, such as coal gas, natural gas, methane and other fires. Dry powder fire extinguishers and halogenated alkane fire extinguishers can be used;
The fourth category refers to combustible active metals, such as potassium, sodium, magnesium and other combustible fires. Dry sand cast iron powder can be used;
Category 5 refers to fires caused by the burning of charged objects. Carbon dioxide, dry powder, and halogenated alkane fire extinguishers can be used (water is prohibited).
