This fire hose reel stop valve is the part that connects to the water main to the fire hose reel. You are required to release the stop valve in order to release the fire hose reel nozzle. This forces the user to turn the water on before rushing to the fire. When you release the stop valve it releases the flow of water to the fire hose.
